By accessing or using KoalaVOD (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of the Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Copyright Compliance & Twitch Policies

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to use any content you analyze or download through KoalaVOD. Using content you do not own may result in copyright violations and account penalties.

Twitch Content Ownership: Twitch's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines are clear: you are not permitted to use content you don't own the rights to. This includes another streamer's VODs, clips, or chat content. Only the original content creator (streamer) owns the rights to their content.

DMCA Takedown Process: When a copyright holder (the original streamer) discovers their content being used without permission, they can issue a DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedown notice to Twitch. Twitch is legally obligated to comply with these notices, which can result in:

  • Removal of your content from Twitch
  • Copyright strikes against your channel
  • Permanent account suspension for repeated infringements
  • Legal liability for copyright infringement

Fair Use Limitations: Twitch does not and cannot adjudicate fair use claims. Their primary role is to respond to DMCA notices to remain in legal compliance. Claims of "fair use" do not protect you from DMCA takedowns or copyright strikes.

Permitted Use: You may use KoalaVOD to analyze and download content only if:

  • You are the original content creator (streamer)
  • You have explicit written permission from the content owner
  • The content is clearly in the public domain
  • Your use falls under applicable fair use provisions (at your own legal risk)

User Responsibility: By using KoalaVOD, you acknowledge that you understand copyright law and Twitch's policies. You agree to use the service only for content you have the legal right to use. KoalaVOD is a tool provider and cannot determine the copyright status of content you choose to analyze.

3. Subscription & Billing

The Service offers paid subscription plans billed on a monthly or yearly basis. By subscribing, you authorize Paddle, our payment provider, to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

4. User Accounts & Responsibilities

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. Each account is licensed for use by a single user only. Sharing an account between multiple users is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if we detect or suspect any account sharing activity.

5. Refund Policy

We offer a 3-day money-back guarantee on all new subscriptions. If you are not satisfied, contact support within 3 days of your initial purchase for a full refund. Renewals and upgrades are non-refundable, but you may cancel at any time to avoid future charges.

6. Privacy Policy

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violations of these Terms or for any conduct that we deem harmful to other users or to KoalaVOD.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
